The Metropolitan Club: Urban Design Challenge is a free event at the TU Delft, with students, teachers, and designers from practice
Invited participants are challenged to sketch an integrated urban design in 90 minutes instead of 90 days, by means on exploring with a variety of urban design methods. Not with competing groups, but as one big collaborative team. The goal is not to reach a perfectly defined proposal, but to reflect on and learn from participating in an integral and interdisciplinary design process.
Will you join us as an audience to this exciting experiment and participate in the conversation?
Or are you currently engaged in professional urban design practice and you want to be an active participant in one of the three workshop tables?
We have 25 spots for audience, and 6 for active participants (professionals).
Case study: De Nieuwe Meer, Amsterdam, between the water and the A4.
The event will not be live broadcasted, but will be captured on video. By registering to this event, you are accepting to be recorded in video, and accept that the hosts may approach the audience for their participation with a microphone. Recordings will be used to produce a short documentary and a teaser, and also kept for archival purposes.
How to get to the location: The main entrance to the Teaching Lab is via Pulse building. Its entrance faces the outdoor square in front of the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.
