The bachelor’s degree programme in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences covers a broad range of topics, introducing you to different professional fields. Think of architecture, building technology, urbanism, landscape architecture, construction management, real estate management, and geomatics. The Section of Urban Design makes fundamental contributions to the educational coordination and development of the BSc of Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences.
Your home, your neighbourhood, your city, that’s what architecture and the built environment is about. The field focuses on our changing world around us, and the challenge of adapting our buildings, neighbourhoods and cities to new insights and needs of its residents. As a bachelor student of Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences at TU Delft, you start designing the world around you from the very first day of your studies. Students engage with engineering, theory and design in an interdisciplinary manner.
You will develop analytical and creativity skills and spatial aptitude. You will work on design projects individually and in groups. You learn about the interaction between technology, design, society and the built environment. Additionally, you get to explore the different professional worlds relevant to spatial designers, planners, engineers and managers.
Staff of the Section of Urban Design play a very important role in the coordination and development of the Bachelor programme. Specifically, by coordinating the overall programme, and the module ON3 (City and Public Space).
